Waitlist Settings

Let guests join a waitlist when your classes reach capacity. Navigate to Settings > Waitlists to manage your waitlist preferences.

Waitlists are available on the Pro plan. Upgrade your plan to enable waitlists.

Enabling Waitlists

Use the global toggle on the Waitlists settings page to enable or disable waitlists for your entire studio.

  • On -- guests can join waitlists for any class that has waitlists enabled
  • Off -- no classes will show a "Join Waitlist" option, even if individual classes have waitlists enabled

Per-Class Waitlist Control

When the global waitlist toggle is on, you can enable or disable waitlists for individual classes:

  • Add Class form -- toggle "Waitlist" on or off when creating a new class
  • Edit Class modal -- toggle "Waitlist" on or off for existing classes

The per-class toggle only applies when the global setting is enabled. If you turn off waitlists globally, no classes will accept waitlist signups regardless of their individual settings.

How Auto-Promotion Works

When a guest cancels their booking for a full class:

  1. The next person on the waitlist is automatically promoted to a confirmed booking
  2. Their pre-authorized payment method is charged for the class
  3. They receive a confirmation email with their booking details
  4. The waitlist position updates for remaining guests

Guests must provide a valid payment method when joining the waitlist. If their payment fails during auto-promotion, the spot goes to the next person in line.

How Guests Join a Waitlist

From your studio's booking page, when a class is full:

  1. The guest clicks Join Waitlist
  2. They enter their name and email address
  3. They provide a payment method through Stripe (securely stored, not charged yet)
  4. They're added to the waitlist and receive a confirmation email with their position

Managing Waitlisted Guests

On the class detail page in your dashboard, you can see the waitlist panel showing:

  • Guest name and email
  • Waitlist position
  • When they joined

From here you can:

  • Promote a guest manually (moves them to a confirmed booking)
  • Remove a guest from the waitlist
