Inactivity-based credit expiration
Reward credit expiry now offers a more member-friendly option: instead of expiring credits a fixed number of days after they're earned, you can expire them only after a period of no attendance.
What's new
- Three expiry modes — in Settings → Rewards, choose how credits expire:
- Never expire — credits stay forever.
- Fixed — credits expire a set number of days after they're earned (the original behavior).
- Inactivity — a member's whole balance expires after a set number of days with no attendance (e.g. 180). Any attended class resets the clock, so active members never lose credits.
- Expiry reminder emails for both modes — members get a reminder 7 days and 1 day before their credits expire. In inactivity mode the email nudges them to attend a class before the date to keep their credits.
- A gentle nudge on the booking page — members in an inactivity-mode studio see an "attend a class by to keep your credits" line alongside their balance.
- Off by default — existing programs are unchanged; the mode is opt-in per studio.
Why we built this
Fixed-date expiry can punish loyal members — credits earned early in a membership expire even while someone keeps showing up. Inactivity-based expiry flips that: the only way to lose credits is to stop coming. It keeps balances tidy without penalizing your most engaged students.
