Free Trial

Every new studio gets a 14-day free trial — no credit card required. Your trial starts when you create your studio so you can explore the platform before committing.

Payment Processing

StudioBase uses Stripe for secure payment processing:

  • Stripe processing fee: 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction (industry standard)
  • StudioBase platform fee: None — we don't take a cut of your bookings
  • Funds typically available within 2 business days

You keep 100% of your class booking revenue. There are no StudioBase platform fees on transactions.

Example

For a $20 class booking:

  • Your student pays: $20.00
  • Stripe processing fee: $0.88 (2.9% + $0.30)
  • You receive: $19.12
  • StudioBase takes: $0

Billing FAQ

When am I charged?

Your subscription starts after your 14-day free trial ends. You'll be billed on the same day each month (or annually if you chose annual billing).

Can I change plans?

Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from Settings > Subscription. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing cycle.

What happens if I exceed my booking limit?

We won't cut off your clients mid-month. You'll see a warning at 90% of your limit and a prompt to upgrade at 100%. If you consistently exceed your limit, we'll ask you to upgrade to the next tier.

Is there a long-term contract?

No. All plans are month-to-month (or annual). Cancel anytime with no penalties.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) through Stripe.

Do you take a cut of my bookings?

No. You keep 100% of your booking revenue. The only transaction fees are from Stripe's standard payment processing (2.9% + $0.30 per transaction).
