First-Visit Follow-Up

Most new guests who don't come back simply never got a nudge. The First-Visit Follow-Up sends one friendly email a week or so after someone's first class, pointing them to the next session of the class they tried.

This email is off by default. Nothing is sent until you turn it on.

Who Receives It

A guest gets the follow-up only when all of these are true:

  1. It's been 7–10 days since their first class at your studio
  2. They were checked in to that class (no-shows don't get it)
  3. They haven't booked anything else -- including future classes
  4. They opted in to emails from your studio when they booked
  5. They've never received a follow-up from your studio before

Each guest receives it at most once, ever.

What It Says

There's no discount or offer. The email:

  • Thanks them by first name for coming to the class they attended
  • Shows the next session of that class in the same time slot (for example, if they came on a Tuesday at 6 PM, it shows next Tuesday at 6 PM) and the instructor, when that session has space
  • Links to that class's booking page
  • Includes an Unsubscribe link, which stops all marketing email from your studio for that guest

Turning It On

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications
  2. Under Guest Follow-Up, toggle First-Visit Follow-Up on

Changes save automatically. Turn it off at any time; emails stop the next day.

Editing the Wording

Go to Settings > Emails and choose First-Visit Follow-Up to preview the email and change the greeting, add a personal note, or change the button text. You can also change the subject line.

Timing

The follow-up is checked once a day in the morning (US time). A guest becomes eligible on day 7 after their first class and stays eligible through day 10, so a short delay in delivery never causes a missed or duplicate email.
