Creating Your Account

Getting started with StudioBase is easy. You can create your account using email and password or sign up with Google for a faster experience.

Sign Up with Email and Password

1. Navigate to the Sign Up Page

Visit www.studiobase.org/auth/signup

2. Enter Your Information

Fill in the registration form:

Email Address: Use a valid email address you have access to
Password: Create a strong password that meets our security requirements
Confirm Password: Re-enter your password to ensure it's correct

As you type your password, you'll see a real-time strength indicator showing:

Password length
Character variety (uppercase, lowercase, numbers, symbols)
Overall strength rating (Weak, Fair, Good, Strong)

3. Submit the Form

Click Create Account to complete your registration.

Sign Up with Google

For a faster sign-up experience, you can use your Google account:

1. Click "Continue with Google"

On the sign-up page, click the Continue with Google button.

2. Select Your Google Account

You'll be redirected to Google's authentication page. Choose the Google account you want to use.

3. Grant Permissions

Review and approve the permissions StudioBase requests:

Access to your email address
Access to your basic profile information (name, profile picture)

4. Complete Your Profile

After authorization, you'll be returned to StudioBase. Your email and name will be automatically filled in from your Google account.

Google OAuth users are automatically verified and don't need to complete email verification.

What Happens Next

After creating your account:

Email Verification (email/password users only): You'll receive a 6-digit verification code via email. See Email Verification for details.
Dashboard Access: Once verified, you'll be redirected to your dashboard where you can start managing your studio.

Security Features During Sign Up

StudioBase implements several security measures during account creation:

reCAPTCHA v3: Automatic bot protection runs in the background
Password Strength Validation: Real-time feedback on password quality
Email Verification: Ensures you control the email address (email/password users)
Rate Limiting: Prevents abuse and automated account creation

Troubleshooting

"Email already exists" error

This email is already registered. Try signing in instead.
If you forgot your password, use the password reset flow.

Google OAuth fails or redirects incorrectly

Ensure pop-ups are enabled in your browser
Check that third-party cookies are not blocked
Try using a different browser or incognito mode

Password doesn't meet requirements

Review the password requirements
Use the strength indicator to ensure all criteria are met
Avoid common passwords and personal information

Not receiving verification email

Check your spam/junk folder
Ensure you entered the correct email address
Wait a few minutes and check again
