Email & Password Login

StudioBase supports traditional email and password authentication for studio owners and administrators.

Creating an Account

1. Visit the Sign Up Page

Navigate to www.studiobase.org/auth/signup

2. Enter Your Information

• Email Address: Use a valid email address you have access to
• Password: Create a strong password (minimum 8 characters)
• Confirm Password: Re-enter your password

3. Verify Your Email

After signing up, you'll receive a verification email. Click the link to activate your account.

Logging In

Standard Login Process

1. Go to www.studiobase.org/auth/login
2. Enter your email address
3. Enter your password
4. Click Sign In

reCAPTCHA Verification

For security, we use Google reCAPTCHA v3 to protect against automated attacks. This happens automatically in the background.

Password Requirements

Your password must meet these criteria:

• At least 8 characters long
• Contains at least one uppercase letter
• Contains at least one lowercase letter
• Contains at least one number
• Contains at least one special character (!@#$%^&*)

Forgot Password?

If you forget your password:

1. Click Forgot Password on the login page
2. Enter your email address
3. Check your email for a 6-digit verification code
4. Enter the code on the reset page
5. Create a new password

Reset codes expire after 15 minutes for security. See Reset Your Password for the full process.

Troubleshooting

"Invalid email or password" error

• Double-check your email address for typos
• Ensure caps lock is off
• Try resetting your password

Not receiving verification email?

• Check your spam/junk folder
• Ensure you entered the correct email address
• Contact support@studiobase.org if still not received

Account locked after multiple failed attempts

• For security, accounts are temporarily locked after 5 failed login attempts
• Wait 15 minutes and try again
• Contact support if you need immediate access

Security Best Practices

• Use a unique password for StudioBase
• Enable two-factor authentication (planned for a future update)
• Never share your password with anyone
• Log out when using shared computers
• Use a password manager to generate and store strong passwords
